Racine Horlick Alumni 1965

We are the Rebels, the mighty, mighty Rebels...

UPDATE & ALUMNI NEWS | Horlick65
New pics from the 45th ReU — Better late than never. As many of you may know, Betty Schilke Hartman relocated to Minnesota from Racine since the reunion in 2010. For those experienced in such events, you’ll readily understand the turmoil of such an event. In fairness she sent them to me a couple of months ago, and I’ve been a bit busy myself.

In any event images taken with her camera during the 45th ReU are now posted on the first page of images below. What I need, though, is for someone, or everyone, to send me names for the images. Just send me the image number and the names from left to right. I’ll post them, as soon as I have at least half of them in hand.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season for 2011. —nk
My apologies to all for the unfortunate delays in updating the website. We had our 45th reunion on 15 October 2010, which included a football game and pizza and refreshments following at Mike and Angelo's. A good time was had by all (Well, I know I had a good time, anyway). Amazingly, for all the folks who were taking pictures at the pizza "parlor," I have not received any. I would love to add to the collections from 2005, so if you have them, please send via email, web download, CD, or, worst case, printed to me, and I will post them on the site for all to see. If printed, I will return the prints, once I scan them.

Please send to my new address: 5674 Wilshire Drive | Madison WI 53711.

Hi Neil: I'll try this again- I think I deleted the last message I sent you, computers just aren't my thing. Thanx for your help on the reunion. In the past months I heard it was on than off. I think it's good to have a 45th reunion when I see in the Racine paper people we went to school dying at the rate of about one per month. But the best reason is it's just plan fun. I see that some people that were at the 40th aren't on the list- I guess they must not have belong to Classmates. I can give you some of their names, but I don't know how to reach them unless they are in the Racine phone book. If for any reason, you need to make long distance calls maybe I can help. I have free long distance for my business. Once again Thanx for what you're doing- hope a lot of our classmates come- Art. — 30 MAR 10

March 2009 | Horlick boys basketball made it to the finals of the WIAA state tourney in Madison in Division I. They lost to Madison Memorial. Lynne and I were present at the game. It was not a pretty picture for Horlick, but great fun, nonetheless. —nk
UW Badgers beat Hawaii 51-10

While not strictly Horlick65 News, I think most grads have an affinity for our State's fine University of Wisconsin. The Badger football team plays Hawaii in Hawaii every four or five years, and KT was there to capture it on film — well, at least in zeros and ones. Some snaps from her visits to the game are included nearby.
Dan & Jan White were in Honolulu for the UW/UH game on Nov. 25, 2005. Notice their custom “W” aloha shirts! The Badgers won (of course) 41-24. The Whites are shown with KT and her brother Karl Haase (Horlick ’67).
